Yeah... The owner is an SCCA and Vintage road racer. He used to promote the "Race at the Base" vintage race a couple of years ago. He had hoped to get enough together to make a permanent home for the race, but that didn't work out. The more we use it, the more likely it is to actually become a motorsports facility. He only owns our side of the fence. The US government still owns the other side. I don't see a huge facility being built unless he can somehow acquire that side as well.

I had not thought of that. The only thing on the other side of that fence is the Coast Guards LORAN tower, which I don't think they are going to give up anytime soon even with the proliferation of GPS.

They actually look better than I thought. I really like the open spoke design. You can see the rotors and calipers really well (I guess I have to finally paint my calipers now !!). I figure I will keep them on the car until the next auto-x since I will not be driving the car next week. BTW, I signed up for the beach comber event. I think I am running 21 (I noticed you were 23). I don' t know how to get to the list though once you sign up.

Hey Trip, how come I don't see you on one of the BMW boards? And Bandit, better late than never (I just found out about this board)
