Um, I guess its not really IN first gear if the car doesn't move right? Thing is I can switch and put the knob in first gear, but when I let out on the clutch...no friction zone or connectivity.

Oh btw, I found TEIN rear tie rods for 350 shipped brand new, better than the 500 at the deal for stock ones. They replace the stock bushings with pillowballs, which personally I think is an awesome upgrade for cheaper than OEM.

No, it's in first gear it's just that the clutch isn't engaging. Have someone push the clutch pedal and watch the slave cyl and see if the piston moves. Since you can get it into gear likely it will move but as for not being able to move it would seem to be something worse. Should have kept the 250, haha.

I still have the 250 actually, loooong story but any way, where is the slave cyl located exactly? I know where the hydraulic piston on the clutch is are they the same thing? Like I said the pedal's feel exactly the same...but like my story in the first place on how it happened, when i pushed the clutch all the way in, it got to the max point, then "popped" a little and went a little deeper and that's where it went down hill from there.

Sounds like you might have broken something on the clutch itself...kinda hard to tell. Yes the hydraulic piston on the transmission is the slave cyl.

Ok, well James is gonna be here some time tonight...He's said most of the same things you have. It'd be easier to tell if you could actually look at it, but he's the next best thing, ex-toyota tech too, so I'll let you know later tonight.

Btw, whenever I order the suspension part you wanna help me put em on? I can't buy yah beer (well legally), but I can compensate with food and a free test drive : )

well... my nephew on here does alot of work on MR2's. He has done 3 N/A to turbo swaps on his cars. Not to mention that he has taken a few MR2's down to the shell and then put them back together.

He also has alot of OEM parts for them. N/A and turbo alike. He is in Virginia Beach though. If you want his number... feel free to PM me and I will pass it to you. I don't want to put him out there without telling him first.

k....james just left...

Well, its not the slave cylinder, clutch play feel's right, you can shift into gear without having you foot on the clutch, so it's just not reaching. We removed the air filter, and all that jazz to get to the alternator to remove that only to realize we're gonna have to old the entire effin motor up.

He thinks its a bearing that burst? or something like that, idk wtf is goin on other than the fact that my car is going to be torn the eff up this weekend.

Wait a minute.

So with the engine running, you can put the selector into 1st gear WITHOUT using the clutch and nothing happens?

Your yota tech friend confirmed proper function of the clutch hydraulic systems?

Have you checked the shift cables?

Sounds like you might have a serious problem...unfortunately.

Yah its serious enough to lift the whole damn motor around. Engine running, I can shift into first gear and rev, and nothhhhing. Like Ive said before its just like theres no connectivity from the power to the drivetrain. The clutch and hydraulics work fine movement wise, motor spins just wont connect to the gear...like its just not reaching.

Idk if it's shift cables, since it shifts perfectly fine (or feels like it) into all 5 gears.
