Ch...Ch...Changes
Not so much as a different section, but a way to sort.
For instance, dudeman is selling a valve cover in 757. When joe blow from the 804 wants to see the for sales, he can go to the section, then click a drop down/check boxes to include/exclude his search. And he can do that for engine, interior, misc. etc. etc.

Where would the dude selling his bike in PA post if we only had our current list of regional forums as classified choices?
One thing we could do is bring back tags, but not let the users type in any random thing (which not surprisingly was abused to hell and back) but have a predefined list, like area codes, car makes, etc. However, I'm not really sure what this gains anyone. Let's say we have car makes as one of the tag choices; buyers can already search for that as again that's required information.

thats a great idea....i hate seeing something i want just to realize its in lynchburg...or pennsylvania...thats right..pa there is a bike being sold right now and the guy is in pa....wtf???
but all the for sale...vehicles and parts...if someone is looking for a particular item then the search button would find it in other locations...
like a 757 section...804,540,you get the point..

and the guys from NOVA are the worst, they put NOVA for location and that shit doesnt help, i still vote to have NOVA removed period....
This is the problem with having to many specific forums, say a classified for each regional. We end up with catch-all forums which people then want split up even further, i.e. the current Other forum.

As is vBulletin only allows 1 prefix to be used on a thread. So if we did use locations for prefixes we'd lose the current ones, which I think are more helpful. Not to mention location is already something that is required in the first post as per the rule changes a few months ago.

Don't they do that when they register?
Wouldn't change anything. It'd be like any other TOS/ Rules/ whatever, that people ignore, and check the box at the bottom just to get to the next page.
Good idea in theory, though.
