Springs v.s coilovers
I have Tein HE (full threaded body coilovers) on my nissan but for hondas I would suggest like Tein SS or flex. i like them better cause you can rebuild them and the shocks are tuned for the spring rates. much better quailty then any coilover sleeve and shocks.
but on the other hand. on my GSR i had ground controls (which you can request custom spring rates) and kyb agx (should have went with koni) and it was a great combo. very much recomended "lower end" suspension. but for that price you can get some Tein's. the reason why i say Tein so much is cuz they are the "cheapest high end suspension."
you are looking at spending about 800-1000 for inexpensive suspension. might as well not lower your car yet, and save up for at least Tein's.

IMO, Ground Controls/Koni Yellows are the best bang for the buck. If you can dish out another $500, get Tiens. If you can dish out another $800, get JIC's. If you are ballin out of control, both Spoon and Mugen have full coilovers.
