The new 5.0 is not part of the "modular family", although it is still DOHC. The new gt500 is supposed to be a twin turbo version of the 5.0L.

This is good news.......kinda like finding out that my great aunt had successful hip surgery. She should be better and faster now.

God damnitt For, get off your asses and make a fucking pushrod motor already. Chevy and dodge dont seem to have a problem with ti.
I fucking hate OHC motors.

already? that's all they ever used to make. Ford's OHC engines are here to stay, for numerous reasons.

Correct, it's kind of a hybrid between the mod motors and the motors they have been building for Jaguar for years.

Why the hell would you prefer a pushrod?

Sure, but you don't need pushrods to do that with proper engineering. See the naturally aspirated Mercedes 6.2 liter making 464lb-ft or the boosted 6 liter making 738lb-ft (starting at 2000rpm).
Then again, why focus on horsepower? When building a car from the ground up I'll take horsepower with appropriate gearing...then again I'll take an independent rear suspension too.

Ask Cobra4B...
Pans full of torque. You can't beat that.
