I'm just like Hart-n-Sol and Chezkers, complete n00b. But I was just like "Why the hell not?". I've got a 96 Civic Ex with a "JDM" D16y8 swap. Basically the stock motor. I have shit for suspension, TenzoR lowering springs (haven't messed with suspension since I got the car). And if Chezkers follows through, I'll have 2 Azenis up front.

And I'm #82...

any engine swap puts you into SM(Street Modified), or a SP(Street prepaired) class

with a non-US engine, or a engine that did not come in that cars trim level puts the car into SM. Meaning that a DX with (US)SI engine is a Steet prepaired class. Most hondas go into CSP.

With a jdm engine or engine out of a nother line, Accord, integra, CRV puts you into SM.

Thats the basics for engine swaps hope this helps.

spare tire, jack, all carpet and molding (in trunk). whatever tar was there is still there. the car was a 800 dollar shell so its missing some interior trim pieces but other then that full interior (plan on removing the rear seats before i go though). i look forward to meeting you guys. you have been helpful and i know nothing about this side of the sport so i really appreciate it. i don't know if any of you know jose with the silver ek hatch but i have been trying to pump him for info. lol.

Technically, you need to put the trim pieces and the carpet back in to run CSP... but frankly, I couldn't care less and I doubt anyone else will either.

None of the local clubs are super strict about interior rules. Most of us are out there for fun and usually use raw times for bragging, not PAX'd times.

Definately what Chad said. I used to come to events, see my friends. We all deove Mustangs, some in CP, some in ESP, and some in FS and we all felt like we ran against each other. We had fun, rooted for each other to do better than we did last time, etc. That is what it is all about.
