jus cuz a kid has a rich parents doesn't mean that the kid's ass is gettin spoiled. not to brag or anything but my parents make a good amount of money but they don't stuff my ass with money. sure they paid for my car but it's not like i'm makin them pay for a motor swap, paint job, new shit, new parts and u don't see braggin bout my ride.and i'm pretty sure a lot of ppl work mad hard for their cars n shit so quit acting ur the only who does.

I think we're starting to get off topic here....lets wrap this side argument up with this, so we can stick to the topic again:

We're all car enthusiasts. Whether we have rich parents or not, most of us work hard for what we get, and we take pride in it. Instead of arguing about who works the most or has the best car, or who knows the most about cars, we should be helping each other out. You don't have to know a lot about cars to love them...some people would rather have a fast, nice looking car without doing the work, because the workings of the car don't interest them. Some, however (like me), get enjoyment out of working on their car. We're all different...so instead of hatin' on those who have different opinions and interests, instead we should respect their choices, and what they enjoy.

So let's all quit flaming each other and just stick to the topic.

There will always be a line between the people who buy and build their own projects and those who get anything they want handed to them. Resentment on either side, while stupid, will always be present.

 

F that, a really high % of people in hs get their first car from their parents. What he's trying to say is that regardless of what you start off with, most people work their ass off FROM THERE ON the mod the car and make it theirs. I got lucky because we had to sell our house for a divorce court thing and my dad's gf already had a big house so, we just kept the $$. When we moved I drove 45 minutes one way to school every day.. needed my own car, it was a grad present too (as i stated we had money from the house too.)
I HATE THAT SHIT when people see my car and thing my daddy just gave in one day and got me the thing, it's never that simple. People need to stop being so shallow and actually look into situations before they start talking shit.
Again, like he said.. who really cares? We all like cars, personally my dad doesn't know I mod my car - thus every single cent worth of aftermarket stuff on my car was earned by me.

Sorry for the rant but it needed to be said.

 

Thank you...that was exactly what I was trying to say. My parents initially paid for half of my car, and I paid off my debt to them over the next few months or so. From then on...all the money I've made has gone into my car.

mine wasn't a crx even thought most 4th gen civic n crx looks the same from the front. what i'm trying to say is that most ppls in auto tech n auto body doesn't have the greatest attitude yeah most some of my firends are in there also my boys(bros). i'm just saying i hate people that be makin fun of other people rides of what it could be any thing. for me i keep it to my self. people that comes up to me that annoy the hell out of me about this and that about cars, the attitude that they approuch me with, i'ma give them the same respect as they give me. as for all of us that are on this forum we are on here for a reason, a reason that we all love cars. as well as how every body brain works we will all have disagreements. soo simple as this, if anybody doesn't like me for who i am, i just don't give a fuck
