Milliondollarjb--- exactly what does the ticket say, and what code section is on it?

 

It was in Pearisburg. Ironically enough I was driving back from West Virginia, after going to court to fight a speeding ticket I got on US 19. I was driving along 460 and the road was absolutely deserted. Apparently the cop was parked with his lights off (or at least hidden enough that I couldn't see his parking lights) in a used car lot, next to all the used cars.

Once again more proof that towns with pieces of highway love them as income sources. Driving 9mph over in the middle of the night on an empty road is really a danger to society. I got out of the ticket after taking the VASAP class, but that was still $100 and 8 hours of my life I'll never get back.

 

Wait a minute..you got out of a ticket that wasn't even your first by just taking that damn class.....I had ONE ticket, given it wasn't good but yea..one...and I have definitely learned my lesson since then mind you....anyhow - I got the ticket, took the class on my own. STILL got to pay I think $110 or so in fines and court cost as well as a ticket still being on my record...WTF'n hell??

Had to have been in Narrows that you were stopped, speed limit only changes on 460 in Narrows, Glen Lyn, and Pembroke, all are 45 but only Narrows and Glen Lyn really have "active" law enforcement, and Glen Lyn doesnt have a car dealership. Was it near a Burger King/Texaco?

 

it says reckless speeding: 82 in 40mph zone.

I recall a Texaco. I don't know if it was necessarily a car dealership, but I definately remember driving past it during daylight hours, and seeing a bunch of cars lined up along the side of the road.
