Normally, when someone runs a red light light, they t-bone the other person, like what happened to you. If you ran a red light, she would have been t-boned.
And there is no way she would be taking that 90* turn at 45mph.

Hey you can think wat u want but I know wat happened. Why would I run a red light and possibly kill someone? My mom got hit on the drivers side just like I did and almost died, shes got nerve damage in her hands and a bulging disk in her neck so I think I watch wat IM doing when IM driving. Also I said SHE TOLD THE COP and its on the traffic accident the she was goin 45 around that turn so that doesn't add up as well. all I know is that I have to go back in court on the 29 and hopefully beat this case.

Who knows? Why would she? You're the young, irresponsible one. You're the one the officer put the blame on. As for the 45mph comment, she had just been in an accident that was your fault. She was confused and shaken up a bit, obviously. She thought the officer asked how fast she thought you were going. That alone will not get you out of the ticket.

Good luck though.. your lawyer's gonna have to work his ass off. Hope your Civic's doing ok.

 

Yea Honda is done with the body work but the glass company broke the glass when they were taken it out. Don't know why Honda doesn't take it out them self's but I should get it back tomorrow. And as for you sayin the accident was my fault u were not there obviously so u don't know wat happened. IM not tryin to be an ass but. if she had a censored light and for that censored light to turn green u have to sit there at that light for 2 mins. and there wasnt another car that went threw that light. there was a suv in front of me and thats it the other cars where behind me. and the came threw the intersection after me. So her witness that was "there" had to of gone threw that intersection if he was 3 cars back from me. But when I got spun around there was no wrecker comin threw the intersection.

 

All I'm trying to say is.. neither will the judge. Take money for the ticket with you, plus court costs. VA Beach is the worse possible city this could have happened in.

 

...and Virginia is the worst possible state this could have happened in.

Defensive driving is a theory on the safest/best way to drive. It's not the Law.
Why don't you pick up a Va Code book and look up the Law. Then why don't you print off the section where it mentions "Defensive driving".

What I bet you will find is "Right of way". Let me put it simple for you. Person with green light has the right of way. The person that runs the red light is at fault. The judge and entire court room would laugh you out of court when you tell them.....yes your honor she had the green light and yes he ran the red light but it's her fault because she should have been a defensive driver and had seen him.

Here's another simple consept that you need to grasp. It doesn't have anything to do with...if she hit him in the side or if he hit her in the side! Who hit who is a matter of "TIMING". If she had run the stop light a second earlier, he would of ran into her side/back/what ever. Lets say he ran the light. Well if he ran the light a second later, he would have hit her side/etc. Other things that can change the timing issue.....how big the intersection is, the delay on the light cycling between red one way and when the other direction turns green, the speed the vehicles are travelling, the list could go on and on. It's called "timing" not who's at fault.
