Nope. Talons had chrysler motors. All the old DSMs did.

 

The 2g Eclipses N/A had a 2.0 Neon motor, but if he had a 1g Talon then it indeed have a Mitsubishi motor. If it was any turbo it's Mitsubishi. 3g's with the new 2.4 and 3.0 are both Chrysler motors out of the Stratus w/the 3.0 and the 2.4 is the SRT-4 motor N/A.

 

I heard that the new 3.0 was a mitsubishi motor and they were also used in the stratus and sebring. That's why when my friend popped the hood of his sebring it said "mitsubishi motors."

 

I thought the 3.0 in the 3g's were Chrysler's. There are two 3.0's, the 5spd Sebring has a Mitsu engine and the 5spd Stratus, if they are auto it will be a Chrysler motor, this goes for the Eclipse as well. The 2.4 however is Chrysler used in the SRT-4 and PT Cruiser.

 

No that's not true. Just because the tranny is different doesn't mean the motor is. The SRT-4 uses a mitsubishi td04 turbo though.
