actually....there is a chain tied to the rear of the car that is attatched to an old axle buried in cement. that is the measurement point. he has a hydraulic scale attatched, and measures the force that is applied from the car (the pulling force) the wheels are on an old truck axle, both axles are welded together so it doesnt matter for an open diff, and the air brake chambers are hooked to an air line so he can vary the load applied to the car.


pretty damn good for shadetree engineering if you ask me

eh...it may not be the safest thing...but for someone to have the calculations and such to figure out HP it does take a semi intelligent person to do it. must not be his camaro.
