heh, I'm in the Coast Guard, I joined with the intention of getting a law enforcement background and then being a police officer myself. But now I like my job too much.

As for the threads that pop up around here, they are hilarious. The best ones are the ones that people are pissed cause they got a ticket and can't understand why. Just because you are doing 65 in a 25 and have 3 girls hanging out your sunroof doesn't mean you are doing anything wrong.

 

im sayin tho... for example if a turbo honda civic gets behind you with flashing lights would you pull over?? thats a messed up situation

 

How many turbo Honda Civics have you seen that have somebody pulled over? If they are trying to be an undercover car like that, then they are not going to risk blowing their cover just to pull you over. They would call for a "normal patrol" car to do it for them.

I've seen a cop in a wagon pull somebody. I've been pulled by an off-duty in a Grand Am.

 

I got pulled in smithfield NC by a suburban.......I thought the game warden was commin after me.......He looked like one of the guys from "Deliverance"...... And he talked like "Jed clammpet" from the "Beverly hill billies".......But answer me this...how does a cop who never saw you in the car give you a ticket for speeding....I was on the oak grove connector commin home from maxwells when i dropped a gear to pass a guy i was doin about 80 in a 55 but anyway a cop was sittin a ways up from my exit..I saw him but i thought nothing of it and took the exit i sped up a little on mt.pleasant rd. and turned into the neiborhood....I pulled up to the house turned the car off un-buckled my seat belt as did my passenger, got out of the car and was 6 foot away from the front door when the cop got behind my car and noticed we were at the door.....He of coarse pulled his gun and started to harrass me about how fast i was going he just assumed i was driving the car.....He called for back-up and proceeded to harrass my passenger as being a drug dealer cause he was black and out at 11pm with a white guy in a prodominently white neighborhood (we were at his house).......I went to jail for 3 hours he arrested me without reading me my rights and questioned me without reading me my rights......Then made me blow in this alcohol thing to see if i was over the legal limit then told me i was but he showed me the tester and it was showing .01 where as .08 is over the legal limit but said he was going to let me go this time....
What the fuck?.......So now im suing his sorry ass and the city of chesapeake and it looks like I might make a lot of money.....Moral to the story.....= Being a cop doesnt mean your the smartest son-of-a-biatch out there....Or the toughest, or above the law, It simply means you where a uniform carry a gun and a badge and routinely harrass people, inocent or not.....(In lue of this statement/story there are decent cops out there just not many)
