Ben, it's clear. 454 ci big block mated to a 1 ton chevy drivetrain (np205 transfer case. 14 bolt rear end, dana 60 front axle). maybe even a i little lift and 31" boggers. holler. so what if there are a few issues with it fitting. anything can be solved with a plasma cutter, high quality welder, and scrap metal. those guys in japan who get paid hundred thousands of dollars for their engineering expertise when it comes to suspension geometry are over rated anyway. just stick to trial and error. <wink>

A short block can be had for $900-1400. Assembly about two days, then drive!

My WRX is dead in the garage right now also, I sheared all the teeth off the pinion gear.

That's why I ordered LT's on the 9th.

Maybe you should worry about finishing your car that's been down for a year and stop worrying about everyone else.

Ben, You were IN my car when it blew up. I could have sold it and taken a huge loss, but instead i put a new motor in there. That was the best move i EVER did with that car.

This is all very true, and if I save up for a while I could manage a new motor. But I am almost at the point where I am tired of dealing with a car where I need to decide what motor to get, replacing the tranny, continually modding and modding. I am only 18, I do not need a beast car like this. Something simple and reliable as my car for years to come, to take up to school and not have to worry about breaking on the way up. Ya, an EVO is not the most reliable thing, but hey one with an exhaust and some management will be more than enough for me. If I were to get a new motor, I would no doubt have to sell the suspension to help pay, then I have a car taht wont be as much fun anymore. Its fun to go fast, but I dont want to sacrifice everythnig that makes the car what I like for it. Ya, the blocks can be had for cheap, but try finding cheap labor for it. If anyone is up for doing it for free, be my guest!!
