Yeah, I must say the same. The car is nice as hell, and looks damn good, inside and out. I debated the decision to buy one for almost 3 weeks. What ultimately led me to the decision to not buy one, were all the issues that some of the owners said they were having. I would log onto www.Protege5.com and it would seem like some one would be complaining about their problems every day. Yes it's true some people love the car, but I wouldn't be too happy about having some of the problems. Just to name a few; a lot of the owners had a hesitation problem, clicking coming from the suspension bushings, an ignorant CD player, and a few of the guys said they had leaking trunks.

Lastly, a few of the guys had tried to trade their cars in, ( due to the annoying problems ) and 3 of those guys had less than 12k miles on their cars. What they found out was that the cars value had dropped down to 11k. I think the most one of the guys was quoted was like 13,000 for their car and that was in mint conditon and low miles. They may not seem like big problems, nor did every car have them, but I look at it this way, I bought the car to drive, not take back to the dealership to have warranty work repaired.

All in all, nice car with potential and at a nice price. Just make sure you keep it, if you get one.
