Exactly, that is what I was talking about, basically some guys just like to tinker on their cars. And I can see the pride someone would have from taking a 18 second car and making it a 13 second car.

I guess it's all in what you're into, but I prefer not to spend thousands of dollars just to run what most cars run stock.

I agree for the most part that v8 domestic performance vehicles will outperform in cost/speed ratio damn near anything, but not all cars are turds that you have to spend $4,000 on to get to turn halfway decent times.
And hell, the SRT4 has better resale value than even a Mustang GT from what I've seen.
Either way, we can compare apples to oranges all day long, but there's really no point.

that's a ford GT engine underated at 550 hp.
