I just got off the phone with him. Turns out he hit a rock, or some rocks, he was kind of unclear and the hull has some damage. He said he would have it fixed, but the guy who fixes it is very busy right now.

That's so lame. I fucking hate it when people try to hide shit to lure you in then when you're on the phone/in person talking to them they pull out the, "Oh, by the way...". I like to be up front and honest about every little thing about a product I'm selling.

exactly, I still may be interested in it, but not for that much. I was kind of drawn away when he told me that, key the reason it's not in his thread, just like you said, to somewhat lure me in.

oh, didnt know that. I found a 01 GP1200R on PWCtoday for 4K. It looks to be in good shape, but 4K seems a tad hi. It only has 51.8 hours on it. Not too bad, but Id rather have one with 80-90 hours and 2600 But I may just go look at this one.

Dplate and sensor installed. What is the sensor he is talking about? And I assume D-Plate is some style of ride plate?

Dont worry about hours too much. To give you an idea, mine has 213 (its been rebuilt) michaels has ~80 I think (it runs perfectly) and a guy I work with has ~50 and he has had TONs of problems.

The "sensor" is actually just a resistor that tricks the computer because the cat is removed. Mine and michaels have the same setup (D plate and sensor trick).

Gotcha. Well I just dont want a ski that is gonna give me...more... problems

Yamaha storage compartments are meant for chicken and/or Beer, not files.

What do you think a good offer would be for that yamaha? I kind of dont want to make an offer before seeing it, but I dont want to pay anymore than 3600 for a ski.

D-plate replaces the cat. converter installed on the skis. They are notorious for overheating if you leave the cat installed.
