I think you will need one or more of the following: a Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin, Bill of Sale, or a Title. I think there are other things too.

Duh. The advancement is to compensate for the higher RPM. With my record, I don't need to go any faster.

They normally go hand-in-hand. I imagine the CDI advances timing to compensate not just for the high RPM, but for the lower octane fuel as well. 87 won't light/burn as thorough as 93. Putting in 93 would require an even further advancement in timing, and your scoot would run like shit at lower rpm's, unless you re-tuned for that as well. (As far as I know, there's no such thing as an adjustable CDI for the GET. The gy6 however...) Basically retard timing down low, but advance up high for. Think diesel vs gasoline, or gasoline vs methanol.

 

Interesting fact for you guys later:

Dropping from a 120/90 to a 130/70 will result in about 4 mph loss, but you will take off like a bat outta hell.
