My tankslapper was pretty much like this only I managed to come within a few inches of the retaining wall on the center of the interstate, and not fall.

I thought I was dead, as did the people I was riding with that nite.
Well maybe to someone who is unsure of what to do in that situation or practiced it during BRC.
people were just making tire spinning, and other situations like that scary or worriesome, from what i kept reading, (maybe they werent scared) but to me its not a scary thought, the only thing that freaks me out on my bike ever is when i push it harder through corners and i have that feeling im over where i usually extend my limits. aka closer to the ground, taking the corner alot faster etc etc.
that and first gear runs against other bikes where i dont gradually apply throttle. i just rail it let it get tall for a sec then get back on it. i dont like wheelies on this bike. im to worried im going to fuck it up, and she wont be pretty anymore. so i avoid them as much as i can.
Why would you take turns in a gear that you could spin or wheelie? I usually go through pungo in 4th. I have plenty of throttle to have fun, and not enough to get loose.
