Really though when you go into a turn you should be in the lowest gear feasible so you can snap it out of the corner. Going in in a high gear will make it a safe turn getting on the throttle but you will be very very very lost in the acceleration department.

thats what i do.. but iv only had one tire i felt safe on..

True, but on the mean streets of Newport News and the off ramps on 64 it is not necessary to come out of a turn dumb fast. So 4th gear is good enough for me.

I stick to 3rd gear most of the time. Seems to be a comfortable medium
