The Koni shocks that I had in the rear were definitely not load bearing, so sand would not have worked.

Kyle only really got traction with slicks.

I could only race people if we went from a roll.

Suspension setups or not you still have that massive front weight bias to deal with. My work truck (F150) has no power and yet it will blow smoke from the rear tires if you floor it going less than 5 mph.

 

look at the picture above. IF you understand suspension and how it works. Then you will see how it gets traction with the help of drag radials.

 

Yeah, Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's are definitely not drag radials... lol

I really hated those tires. Sucked when it was warm out, even worse in the cold.

 

Not only do I understand how it works, I install it on the side....besides the point. I understand that launching a RWD vehicle with traction requires the vehicle's weight to shift to the rear upon launch and some nice rear squat on a truck would seem beneficial to set more weight to the rears.

Best example of this I've seen was a 900 hp Supra at MIR I have video I took of it launching and in slow mo BOTH front tires are 1" off the ground from 5-60 mph and it held full traction with 900 hp.

 

I don't care about any of that... LOL... Like I said in an earlier post, I want one to tool around in and do donuts!!!!
