That comment was meant to say "I don't want your buddy who THINKS he's a bodyman trying to sell me work, and I don't want some ricer specialist trying to ricer-oni up my car" not necessarily saying my car is the shit, just saying it's not a junker.

Oh, I know, but there are very few things you can modify on them without dropping BIG $. They're fast stock, and will smoke my modded TT (probably... I think... I'll have to test that), but they're hard to make faster on any kind of limited budget.

They don't get kicked out for bending the rules, they get kicked out because they dominate the hell out of everyone and the pussies don't wanna play with the big kid anymore so they gang up and send Audi packing. Sometimes what they'll do is just ban "Quattro"... not all AWD systems... JUST QUATTRO. Which makes life really hard for Audi since that's their AWD system, so competeing in Rally races in a FWD or RWD car against Mitsu, Subaru, Ford, and Citroen with their AWD cars would be retarded.
They don't "cheat" or "bend the rules" and get kicked out... they just piss everyone off by winning too much.

I stand corrected, you're right.

no, I saw, just after I posted to you last. Just so you know I was a service wrighter at European Service Automotive in Fairfax, VA... and used to talk to the techs ALL the time about cars. So I know what I'm talking about too. My favorite was Jorma, a German guy with a Dutch name who was a master BMW tech, also Certified for Lamborghini, Ferrari, Mercedes, Lotus, and a couple others... the guy was a genious.

I don't drive it to make myself feel better about myself. I live a very happy life outside the "car realm".

From what I've seen in my research, Stock 2001-2004 S4 biturbo's run low low 14's @ 97-99mph. They're dead sexy though. Probably one of the only Audi's I'd ever buy.

OH crap... I think I still have that thing laying around. If you want to pay for shipping I'll see if I can send the gauge to you, I have no use for it.

You still live in Fairfax? Why are you on the 757 forums?

Stock TT's (like mine when I took it to MIR) run high 14's at 95mph... those S4 numbers can't be right. My car's not stock anymore though... =)

True, true...but lets admit it - nice cars can boost someone's self-confidence.
