All because someone makes an assumption.
If you didn't witness the accident, you don't know what happened. It's that simple.

Assumption 1.When it is raining, any decently smart person with common sense would drive a little bit slower in rain, especially on a piece of road like I was talking about. Only stupid kids or someone lacking common sense would take that turn at 60pmh and hope they dont lose traction.
Assumption 2.Any Person with intelligence that has a sports car will value that car because of what it means to them, and take more precautions and better care of it. And because they know the assumptions that cops make about people with sports cars, theyd be extra careful when driving theyre sports car so as NOT TO FUCK IT UP. That means, for instance, racing in the rain.
So from those assumptions I assumed the most logical thing. Kids lacking intelligence and common sense decided to race in the rain to prove who the bigger man was, and both found out that even in a 2 on 1 fight, the wall is always going to win...Its fucking murphys law.

Yes, goats are quite short animals.

You made assumptions based on some shit you didn't see. Even worse, you made them off of secondhand info and posted them here. You don't know what the hell happened, and instead of admitting that to yourself you invested your time into speculating some bullshit you aren't even sure happened.
In rainy weather, shit happens, even to "sports cars" that kids get lucky enough to drive. Especially on roads where the speed limit just happens to be 55mph.

Police don't arrive to the assumption that every one in a modified car is a street racer on their own. Insurance companies don't come to the conclusion that young men 18-24 in possession of sporty vechiles race them on their own. Those are decisions and policies set by surveys, statistics and public opinion.
Some of that information is true, there are jackasses who race in stupid conditions and make it bad for everyone, but there are equally as many who have enough intelligence not to. That gets ignored because "Everbody knows anyone who modifies their car is a street racer."
Assumptions like that cost everyone in the end.
So yes I called you a jackass because you went on a colorful little rant about how assumptions like these don't impact others, and they do.
Especially in Virginia Beach where the police will pull you over if they think your exhaust doesn't have enough rust on it to be stock.

The anti-smoking campaign had had/made quite an impact on young people.
The new proposals were intended to soften the impact of the reformed tax system.

ah.. much better point.. and I kind of understand this one. but now we're talking about how overall opinions affect the way they do their job and bla bla bla I doubt the way one enthusiast talks about another is the most influential on the decision of a police officer, infact I bet whats most influential on the decision of a police officer is the ricer who goes to fast but not over the speed limit through his neighborhood all the time, or the one that almost hit his wife when they were driving to the mall the other day. It isn't really bad opinions that do it I think its the bad eggs that screw the rest.
very good point though
oh and toyotatardgeek here's another one just for good measure from merriam-webster
2 : the force of impression of one thing on another : a significant or major effect <the impact of science on our society> <an environmental impact study>
oh gosh.. does that mean.. impact means effect?? according to 3 top dictionary's it does.. or do you have the english dictionary that is supposed to be followed by the english speaking language in your brain?
ok, so tell me this:
why is it the definitions you list are always down towards the bottom of the definition entries? i'm MORE correct, idiot!
the additions are modern acceptances of the common misusage of the word.
you're boring me to fricken' tears here.
