Actually he's right, the new grill design is reported to be a nod to Subaru (or Fuji Heavy Industries) airplane building heritage. I've been hearing this for over a year, since the first press releases came out with the concept/protos. I remember when the little Suby/Saab roadster concept sketches came out over 2 years ago it was the first car with that grill, and the airplane thing was mentioned.

Here's a soundbite I fould really quickly:
"The official line about the new 3-part grill is it celebrates parent Fuji Heavy Industries' 80 plus years aircraft manufacturing heritage - the center, more upright part is supposed to represent a fuselage and the two side parts, the aircraft wings. Unofficially, the word is Andreas Zapatinas, Subaru's new head designer brought it with him when he moved over from Alfa Romeo. You be the judge."

I DO have an aidea what I'm talking about. Someone on WRXtuners posted up about it, I'm not sure if its entirely true.

Its sad that you have an STi and knew enough about it to drive it into a tree.

There was also a thread on nasioc how someone in a bone stock 06 wrx ran 13.4 but there was no proof, slips, video etc so it probably wasnt true. I think most people have been hitting low 14's high 13's stock.

 

I think the front end looks good as long as the car is lowered!
