I dont get it? When i had my laser a couple of months back. I was driving with just a 3" downpipe and a glasspack. I never got pulled. and that thing was LOUD and obnoxious. I even got pulled one time for speeding but the cop never said a word about my exhaust.

that is not correct as this has happened to me and leo...my car he was driving cop pulls us over because he tached out 2nd at like 58mph. writes 2 tickets for improper exhaust and window tint. then asks me to step out of the car to sign the tickets. even though he was driving and got pulled over its my car and i am responsible for its illegality of it...also he measured my car too.

take it to court and the judge should let it go, seeing as it is not his car not his responsiblity for its condition except for the inspection

 

i was way too lazy to read past the first post, so this might be covered already...

- the test driver does get the tickets, but if he went to court he'd get off of everything. judges are ususally cool about helpin out the ticketee when its a stupid cop and a stupid reason. plus the whole fact that its IMPOSSIBLE for him to have complied with law seeing how it wasnt his car to change.

- if he knows a car w/ exhaust and knows where that person lives... as 100% homoerotic as it is, he can sit wherever he wants, and write tickets all day and night for anything that isnt following the law... so long as he and the car he's ticketing are on a public road. i forget though, you have a certain amount of time before you can get a ticket for the same thing...

if he keeps chilling by your place you can file a harassment complaint, blah blah. generally stereotyping: cops get paid nothing, hate imports, are bored, racist as hell, etc etc... in summary: they are mentally unstable. so they do stupid shit like this. they are "that kid" in high school who took all the special classes and made fun of everyone to make themselves feel better. if you go above their head to someone like a judge, who is most likely happy with his or her life, they will be a lot more humane about it.

dont get me wrong, i have nothing but love for REAL police who actually make a difference in the world every day, fight crime, put their lives on the line to protect me... etc

but... theres REAL police officers (5%), and redneck rejects who take out their frustrations out on the world with this easily accessible position of power. (95%)
