Ford needs to build a spunky, low cost, fuel efficient car. I'm not talking like a chevy aveo low cost, but something that a buyer would take a second glance at over a civic or an accord.
I remember reading that the Fusion is selling very well for Ford. And don't get Brock started on the plastic interior thing.

We <3 Brock.

The cheap interior thing is pretty much any UAW-assembled car across the board. But that's a whole new thread.

you mean like the last time they went bankrupt? My aunt and her 5 kids almost died in a ford and you know what ford did? pay her off. and admitted to knowing that her wheel could have come off at any given time but it was cheaper to pay up after than fixing all of them prior.

Ford really is different then all the other Companies. I mean they care so little and put the most dangerous products out, they surely have the most deadly cars of all time. Oh wait, 3 out of the 4 most deadly cars of all time are GM cars.

How can that be, they care more about consumers then $'s unlike Ford. HMMM!

Funny, the Explorer doesn't look like the deadliest vehicle here either.
http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news0...hs_safest.html
Here are their list of most deadly vehicles from 99-03:
Highest Rates of Driver Death
More than 160 driver deaths per million registered vehicle years (1999-2002 models during calendar years 2000-03)

Model
Death Rate

Chevrolet Blazer 2dr 2WD
308

Mitsubishi Mirage
209

Pontiac Firebird
205

Kia Rio
200

Kia Sportage 4dr 2WD
197

Chevrolet Blazer 4dr 2WD
190

Ford Explorer 2dr 2WD
187

Chevrolet Camaro
186

Mazda B series 2WD
185

Chevrolet Tracker 4WD
183

Chevrolet S10 2WD
182

Chevrolet Cavalier 2dr
168

Chevrolet Cavalier 4dr
162

Kia Sportage 4dr 4WD

I wonder How this could be? I mean since Fords business practices are obviously so much worse than everyone else's. I'm sure Chevy had no I dea that gas tanks on the outside of the frame on their full size trucks, wasn't safe. Or the Corvair back in the day.

Dave22, are you really this dumb, or did you get fired from Ford. Maybe a family member. Or did the fact that you happened to be behind an explorer accident make you lose all sense of reason?

By the way the search I did above took all of two seconds to disprove your theory.
