It's official... C6 Z06 is a 10 second car stock.
Brian, aside from the love of corvettes, it seems like you have more against OHC than most have against OHV.
Whats the difference?? You have a cam shaft, and valves.... There is two ways to make a girl cry.
It is old technology when you think about when it became widely used. And american auto makers have been using ohc since the mid 70's if not before.

Damn I was jst Kidding about the drag radials! The car is awesome.
Didn't ford go to ohc because there was supposed to be a govt mandate in the future, so they got a head start?

wow... what an ingnorant comment. Some people just don't get it. OMG how can it be fast w/o that new technology called overhead camshafts.... what not V-tak?
Lest we forget that the OHV motor is smaller, lighter, has fewer moving parts, and produces a broader powerband. And OHC have been around since the early 20th century.

I'm impressed that chevy is still making that much power With an "old School" setup. While ford is using the new stuff and making close to the same power. The technology is amazing. and im a ford guy. The other thing im impressed about is how they got 427 ci out of that car. Its just amazing.
oh and BTW, I saw you (Cobra4b) one morning going to school. (Red, Whistling, Foxbody) On the corner of Upton and Dam Neck. Car sounds awesome

I was next to you in my beater truck one day checking out the car and the seats etc... sounds sweet.MSRP is $65,xxx for a base one and $71,xxx fully loaded.
Dan I have no problem w/ DOHC, the LT-5 is sick nasty and the heads are more efficient in that you can use more of the space for valves and get better flow, but at the expense of motor size. The LT-5 is a big bitch, and the 4.6 in my old mustang wsa huge and heavy.
