hey my argument isnt about fairness... im just stating the fact that there is an unfair bias against imports... and i know its not fair... and i will continue to NOT buy shitty domestics as my protest to that bias... lol... j/k

a lot of cops are domestic driving "real americans" and dont like imports... its a stigma that started way before dudes started ricing out civics and 240's... if its not made in america... hate on em. and even though they are now made in america, that same ignorant stigma exists especially since all the domestics are getting their ass beat by the foreign car market. its their way of sticking it to the other man... LMAO

and for all you people that cant think for yourselves... just so you know, none of this goes on in conscious thought. its unconscious... its engrained in you from childhood... its how we are raised... some of us grow up and see the reality of choice and preference... some of us dont.

 

why is everyone complaining about getting pulled and ticketed...we all know that ANYTHING not stock, is illegal...if you dont wanna get pulled and ticketed...DONT "MODIFY"...how hard is it to understand? i had an rx7 for a year, illegal tint, illegal exhaust...i never got pulled AT ALL. why? cause i didnt drive it like a fuckin idiot...thats all there is to it. last week, i got pulled over in my lightning for my tint...its illegal, and i knew it...i knew i could get a ticket...but thats a chance i was willing to take..... why keep coming out with these stupid arguments when it all comes back to the same thing...ITS ILLEGAL!

you cant deny the simple numbers that more punk kids who do stupid stuff will be in an import. So yes it is rather bias of them, but it isnt without some justification.

 

Well everyone is entitled to there opinion. There are many kids that think their Hondas are GOD's gift to the car industry.... The funny thing about it is they would never look at me in my BMW... but let me be in one of my stock daily drivers and all of sudden they are wanting to run..... Go Figure....LOL

 

I think it's funny how everyone wants to generalize honda drivers by the morons that are considered retards by everyone, and just completely ignore the fact that there are actually quite a few with respectable hondas with their head on straight.

You don't see us(honda owners) bringing up all the stupid fucking hillbillies that think their shits fast based on the mere fact that it's a ford/chevy even though it's rusted as fuck and is 20 years old.

Every car has it's group of ignorant supporters, that's a given, but apparently only a few people understand that concept and can look past it.

 

This arguement is old. You live in a Nazi regime of a state that continues to pass laws to restrict more and more and all you do is sit on the webz and complain. 39 other states in the US have no sort of vehicle inspection whatsover, and none that I have ever lived in/been stationed in/ or driven thru had laws even coming remotely close to the level of the communistwealth. So move the F*** out of this state, or STFU about it. Or petition to get these ridiculous laws amended. That can happen you know, especially with sponsors like the companies that are being blackballed in VA by not making their products legal, when they are legal in all 49 of the other states.

 

This is the best thing I've heard from this thread.

Obviously, the state of VA is never going to get rid of inspections, nor will they ever allow us to run without emissions equipment, etc.

But why not make an attempt to get the laws a bit less stringent?

Why should anything that doesn't effect the enviorment (cuz that's a big one currently), safety of the driver, or of others, need to be illegal?

Example: My GF got pulled over in an '89 Cutlass Calais for the exahust not being stock. (Just got a warning). All emissions equipment, etc was there. The old muffler had rusted out, and a cheap replacment was put on. Why should that be illegal? -- personally, i think it was a bit retarded.

 

I don't have much to add to this thread other than my experience.

I've lived in nova for a year now. I drive a lowered, turbo honda with wheels on it. It's bright green.

The exhaust is semi loud, no fart can though.

A "tuner" car, no?

I have never been pulled over in VA yet and I drive it every day.

Do you think it has something to do with the way I drive?

And to search your car, don't they need a warrant?
