Was more or less just a point. Since the Backroom is an obvious NWS forum, you know what you are entering when you go in. I think a photography forum on this board should have a similar concept, since it should be chat and off-topic free.

 

Oh yeah. I completely agree. I hate that out [i]eye candy[i] section has turned into nothing but a YouTube, Street Fire and other file host server cesspool. I like looking at nice photoshoots and even enjoy checking out the members rides when they take shitty pictures.

I think many might be a bit of a stretch. I'm guessing a handful at best.

If someone wants to take some decents shots of a vehicle, ala a photoshoot and has some text to go along with it I'm all for putting it in a gallery of some sort similar to the "ride of the month" we had way back when.

You are 100% correct. It is also one less things for moderators to look over, before mods had to make sure NWS content was tagged as such.

The hassle of creating another forum, setting up permissions, moderating something else ... or people could just post it in eye-candy

 

The permissions was just an idea, definately too far stretched for this big of a board. Adding the new forum is cake though. I kind of figured you had plenty of moderators already......shouldn't take a whole lot of effort to keep a forum like mentioned up and going.

 

Another reason to consider a photography forum........dailyofftopic.com is shutting down in a week or so.

IMO it would do well. I think just having the forum itself on here would bring more people into the hobby.
