Gun Thread (1911 Question)
its at roanoke civic center i believe the 18th and 19th. i wish it didnt cost to get in, because by the time u pay 6 or 7 dollars to get in you could be buying another 50 rounds of ammo.

Didn't get to the range, but went to the gun store Friday. I'm thinking about picking up a Compact S&W M&P .40 with an Insight tactical light/laser sights.
Anyone have any experience with these new S&W's?
Smith and Wesson
Tactical Light/Laser Combo
BTW, picked up some ammo while I was there.

I used to have a Sigma 40 cal, the predecessor to the M&P series. I've read/heard that they have made leaps and bounds on the M&P over the Sigma, but I loved my Sigma so it can only be better. Cheap too.
yes you have to pay. i dont see why u should have to pay to get into a gun show because the civic centers make money off the gun dealers buying tables and setting up. i personally would go to more if u didnt have to pay 7 dollars to look around.
not really to good of deals at the gun show.
i really like Bill's Guns on 29 in gretna they have a good variety of guns. i picked up a S&W 9mm and my desert eagle from there. hes a good guy to deal with and he took off 100 dollars from the price he was asking for the D.E. so i had to buy it

Now when you say that do you include his next purchase of the SA XD in the statement? I don't want to start a war or anything but everyone seems to love them. Me personally, I have no experience with them, but I naturally lean towards not liking them. If that is what you meant, I'd just like to hear an opposing opinion for once.

BTW, I shop at "Town and Gun" in Martinsville, VA. They have a great selection, and being a big distributor of police stuff, they can get pretty much anything.
