Feedback isnt everything either. You were just strait up blind sided. Sucks that its on such a high cost item. Ive got over 300 transactions buying/selling on eBay and Ive got a perfect record. Just look very carfully to details and presentations before you bid or buy something. gl though

definitely do a chargeback, your credit card company and bank will be more than willing to help you in the event of fraud...

as for paypal taking action and suing him, that's funny... paypal will have NCO collections call you and annoy you for a year, then the calls will go away and things will be fine... he is in no danger right now...

YOU MUST CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY OR BANK AND EXPLAIN THAT THIS SELLER COMMITTED FRAUD AND YOU WANT A CHARGEBACK ON THAT TRANSACTION.

Yes that is my next course of action although it was a debit card i have to go to the bank, Now what im hearing is theat paypal will be giving him a fine and taking him off ebay, Then the bank will be the one who will take legal actions, But i dunno im still kinda lost on all the different info i keep hearing, This is my last step and i believe the best and right way to go about this, next time i will make sure i will use a credit card. There are some realy horror sotries about what PayPal can and will do to protect their business interests. They are not a bank, they are not governed or regulated by the laws that protect normal financial institution customers. They can and will take, revoke, freeze and reverse money transactions if they deem so necessary. There is nothing you can do other than cancelling your credit card / closing your bank account associated with them.

I have sold to people before who had their identity stolen, the *buyer* got my item. The owner discovered their account was compromised and alerted the PayPal, which promptly reversed the transaction then took and equal sale amount out of my account on top and told me to f*** off. Nothing I could or can do about it.

 

well since i used a debit card they said im screwed, if i used a credit card they could have done sumthing, but not much, they said they can only give me my money if someone took the money out unwillingly, Basically all bs that makes no sense. And she says no bank would cover that. I just opened another case yesterday, and they say NOW for some reason I have a good chance of getting my money back, These people sound like they have no clue what to do, And now im confused as shit with all these stories im hearing, I have the email where the guy admits it was alkl fake and he made the parts, where he told me he didnt care and wouldnt help me, I mean damn what else do i need, Well they said the final decision will come on tuesday so i have till then to find some cheap ass shit to send to this asshole if they decide i have to return it.
