I agree with that statement I have met a few drifters that do have a problem with whipping the back end out. I think that my experience will be more truley understanding the attitude of my car in a slide and how to maintain that slide and or regain the straight line once the slide is not required and doing so without completly losing it.

i completely disagree and i'd have to say S13drift has probably never drifted. If im wrong, sorry and no offence.
Your not gonig to randomly start clutch kicking in traffic just because you've spent some time drifting are you? I sure don't, so why would you accidently clutch kick when your autocrossing?

In drifting, you do alot of hard/fast turns to transfer weight. The more you do this, the better you can control exactly how much weight you transfer. You will get an instinct of where the limit is before breaking traction. This will help in autocrossing of knowing how much weight to throw before loosing traction. You also get a feel of your car's slip angles. This is all under the assumption that you use new tires though. If you swap between different types of used tires, the characteristics of the car change dramatically.

I wasnt agreeing with the clutch kicking I would never do that in an autocross with most cars you never down shift you get into 2nd and leave it. I was going more in at the habit of entering turns to fast after drifting for a while I could be wrong never done it but watched it plenty. Plus your apex line for drifting I am sure would be a lot different then autox or the track again could be wrong.
