if it is your first time yeah you can spend up to 1500, if you have already set your bike up for the track much much much cheaper.

What are you guys taking about...$1500?? Maybe if you dont have your gear! Its only $169 a day at VIR. It all depends on the membership you have... www.teampromotion.com

Ok, with Team Pro-Mo you dont have to have anything safety wired but yes you do need engine ice, water wetter etc.

racing and track days are two very different animals. yeah, you need all sorts of stuff (including membership in whatever organization) to race. for track days it's ALOT more relaxed.

I'd love to hit up the track for a while. I think I'd get a lot better at leaning and not being so scared of the bike slidding out from under me.

Too bad my bike would probably never be allowed out there.

you'd be surprised. alot of ametuer race bikes aren't the prettiest things out there. i took my old 7/12 streetfighter to VIR and it passed tech with no issues, though they did kinda look at me funny, saying "wtf is it?".

they stopped the joking when i blew past a bunch of people on coming into turn one on my "funny looking bike", lol

power to weight FTW! kick ass brakes help too
