I went down there in the middle of may and both oregon inlet and corolla were open, but I did hear that from a friend of a friend that the beaches are shut down as of today. Anyone confirm?

Temporarily closed through September, I believe. As always, things down there are subject to change. There is still beach to drive on, definately not as much as you are used to. I know money is tight everywhere, but please consider going down there anyway. Those folks down there (business owners, restaurants, campgorunds, hotels, etc.) could use the support and a little $$$ to keep their businesses going. Just my $.02

Where can we find a listing of what is closed and for how long? I have a trip planed to Ocracoke in July and would like to know if the beaches will be open for 4x4's. Thanks for any help.
