Sup peps. I was born and raised in NYC. The friends I made in the navy either came from north east or cali so we are not use to seeing the confederate flag all the time except in history books and kkk demonstrations. All of us white, black, asian, whatever all belive that the confederate flag is just as offensive as the nazi flag, it's like saying that the nazi flag just represented a political party and not a hate group. The kkk use to fly the confederate flag, and that's what comes to our minds when we see that flag. You talk to my grandparents who come from the south and they all agree what that flag represents oppression of a people, the south rallied behind that flag to preserve their way of life, which depended on the enslavement of my ancestors. In our book there is no way to justify that, please find another way to express your southern pride other than clinging to a symbol of oppression.

how many of you get a bad rep because of ricers? everyone thinkgs your some wanna-be street racer just because you enjoy modifying your car without really knowing what the scene is about.
It's the same thing with the confederate flag. There have been some fucked up ignorant rednecks out there who have given it a bad image, but just because 10% out there decided to be fuck offs and ruin it for the rest of us.
Don't let the mistakes of a few ruin it for many. With so much information readily avaible, I don't understand why someone wouldn't want to educate themselves, espically about something they feel so strongly about (this remind anyone else of ... ricers? don't be a ricer kids)

Oh and just a little tidbit: The ONLY reason Lincoln raised the issue of slavery was to keep the brittish from helping the south with the war. Great Britan was not about to get into this debate, lincoln knew this and was going to do whatever it took to preserve the union. Amazing what they leave out of text books.

The day they let me start a 'White Entertainment Television' station I'll give up my rebel flag. I fly it as the last symbol of a white man's individuality. Its my rebellion against the current politically correct idea of racism. Im tired of people thinking its only possible for a white man to be racist.
