Was his car ever tuned? I have heard motor going bye-bye on the hondata untuned. The key is tuning. The hack is an alternative. BTW, If your car is a OBD2 then there is and additional $300 bucks to run Hondata.

Directly means that if I wanted to ONLY adjust timing to whatever value I wanted (say 35 at 7000rpm under full load and blow my engine up) I can do that and not have to change ANY other parameter. I simply go into that load point on my timing map and type in 35.

You cannot do that with an safc. It's not a hard concept. An ecu adjusting timing because it's knock threshold has changed due to you adding or subtracting fuel/air is NOT directly changing timing.

I have heard people on here saying that the greddy e-manage is really good, but then i thought i heard someone say they were expenseive??? I found one at supra store for $295, which is cheaper than hondata... so i believe that will be the one of choice for me thanks everyone
