Yes, so I speak from experience. Mine was modded to shit and I still couldn't get out of it what I wanted. Great fun car, but nothing i'd throw a ton of money at - it's a money pit and much easier to make a similar car faster and more reliably. I feel that way at least...Still love the handling of them!!

I realize that, and I'm not bashing the car. I guess I just picture something different when I imagine full out race car that gets trailered to the track (IIRC)... Although 11's are fast, in my mind there's a huge difference between 11.00 and 10.99. It's an imaginary border that I have in my mind that separates between mild to wild. I don't know that I'd build an AWD import to run on a short track like that though. It seems like you'd be putting a lot of stress on your drivetrain launching only to go 1/8th mile. That could get expensive quick! Still though, much respect... I'm sure it's kicking ass on the track.

The only thing I saw keeping this car from being a street car was DOT tires, and an exhuast. No biggie. Was still full interior and such when I saw it, not a full out drag car yet.

Totally agree, i would never sink money into an import to make it an 1/8th mile drag car. Big waste money IMO

So, if someone wants to build a fast car, and dragrace it, you suggest that they don't even bother going to an 1/8th mile track, despite it being 110 miles closer than a 1/4mi track?

That's not what I said at all. You're taking what I said out of context now.

I'm just saying I wouldn't build an expensive NEW AWD car for a local 1/8th mile track. Can you honestly tell me you don't think it would get too expensive for the average persons weekend racer budget?

Depends on the size of the person's budget I guess. For the average person, I'd say it would be too expensive.
