Don't waste your money on a lawyer. Been in the courtroom several times during DUI hearings and the people without a lawyer get less fines and sentences. Just be honest and enroll yourself AA now!

And NO, I have never had a DUI.

I hope you get the maximum time they can give you because you deserve it, You're a worthless no-body that has poor judgement (drunk or sober most likely), You're looked down upon from everyone, and last but not least... Ugay, Udum, Ugonnabef'edintheA

^^^^ like she said. get yourself enrolled into self improvement stuff like AA, or something similiar. the more you actually help yourself, the better off you will be.

you made a mistake. seems like no one was hurt. take that for a miracle, take the hit in court, and learn from it.

The courts will prob give him a slap on the wrist.

I get really sick of hearing about drivers who have killed people and have had 2+ DUI's. Seriously why the hell do these people even still have a license.

do you have a defense? or did you just screw up?

i've seen alot of dui's in court and to be honest, not a whole lot an attorney can do for you if your guilty.

i don't do dui's anymore, but used to catch alot a few years ago. if 1st time your not looking at jail unless .15, everybody makes mistakes, and it sucks to get a dui, but its not the end of the world as long as you learn from your mistake and it doesn't happen again. be grateful nobody was hurt.

in vb under .15, no previous dui's you typically look at 500-750, 1 yr susp license, alcohol classes, and restricted license to and from work etc....

i wouldn't recomend any attorney unless you think there was an issue with your arrest.

slorob is right, a lawyer isnt gonna do shit for you man. your best bet is to go in the courtroom already bent over, and thats not trying to be an asshole. bottom line is, you got a dui, and thats a hard thing to explain ANYWHERE, much less to a judge whose heard it all anyway. i work with a guy who got a dui a few years ago and if the punishment hasnt changed since, they made him drive around with a breathalizer on his car, and all do this other counseling. once again, pretty much what slorob said.

you basically fucked up dude, like you said. but i wouldnt worry too much about the judges punishment. its society thats gonna hang you, as you can probably already tell after you made this thread. personally, im just glad you didnt kill anybody.

i am glad no one was hurt also. thank you to the few have offered some kind of experience/advice. mine is a first offense and i havent heard anybody mention a breathalizer in the car for a first offense, but as long as it works and wont mess with the car or mods, then thats fine, because i will not be drinking and driving. the classes are fine too, maybe i could use the education, but im hard enough on myself as it is with shit like this. im worried most about the fines and bond i have to pay now, seeing that nobody has money right now, and i surely dont. restricted license would be awesome compared to no license, and from what i have heard that will be what happens.

don't waste your money on a lawyer. You're going to get the same thing if you don't have one anyway.

That device is a mofo. and its required if you want a restricted license. Anything will set it off, brushing your teeth, eating anything with sugar and yeast.... they've been known to malfunction as well, and you have to pay for the installation, rental and upkeep of them.
