$ coilover help $
Speaking of money....do you have the MB ball joint tool? I need to replace the lower left ball joint and even with their current sale Auto Haus wants $272 (including parts and tax etc). I was actually going to take it to them tomorrow but my parts guy sent me the wrong spark plug wire set so my car is still immobile and I had to cancel my appointment. Should I reschedule with them or is their price a fleece?
In the spirit of this thread, will you do it for $35, a warm pepsi, and a case of sea-lice?

you may not understand the design of honda suspension. i can have the entire suspension off of my vehicle, all ball joints and bushings replaced and reinstalled within 4 hours
does not compute...lmao...
hahaha
if there are no rusted bolts i can install springs on existing shocks in 35 minutes
its just a completely different ball game when it comes to MB
the 89 300se i had was a complete PAIN IN THE ASS! i have no desire to even get close to another mercedes.
and i do not have that compressor.
i have 2 other styles. Macpherson strut style (compresses from outside) and coil spring (compresses from inside)

Same chassis. Except for the hydraulic rear suspension and some other minor changes (different diff and IIRC different rear axles, possibly a different rear sway bar), that's the same setup as mine. How dare you speak of it in such a way. Excuse me while I go take solace in the chrome and wood that currently cover every inch of carpet in the TV area of my apartment (and I'm still waiting on about 1/3 of the stuff to come in...go 80s luxury!).

well if you do pickup that tool im down for a weekend install. <-yeah i said it
paying in beer is recommended and smiled upon
reguardless of the silly engineering of the suspension, i would like to familiarize myself with it
The only way I know to get the tool involves the MB Owners parts network. While they have it, 1) it's something of a hassle 2) who knows how well it was maintained (it's just a bunch of MB owners lending tools to each other). So, let's first see if snap-on can loan it to nftuatn and save me a trip across the bridge-tunnel of evil. If not, I'll be in touch.
