Flat 4 has very little force but on the crank or bearings as a much as inline 4. Tell me this why does the s4 audi use a twin turbo v6 not a vr6, not not w8 not the v8. why does bmw used v8 in the m5 not a inline 8. all their other cars are inline confugation...
v design is much sepurior design then inline....

just get a camry 5 speed if a such a thing and rebuild it with strong internals... or get a adapter plate made so u can mate a stock 3sgte tranny to a v6 motor... not very hard to figure... factory oem bolt on shit isnt always the answer... look out of the fucking black and white area... look into the gray area once people lol... thats why they call it engineering...
peak hp #'s for the 503m was over 1000 in certain variants.
which lemans car are you speaking of?
and correct me if i'm wrong since i'm not a drag racer: low et's don't necessarily match-up with the actual trap speed in all cases (e.g.; they don't necessarily make sense) and vice versa.
oh! and you mentioned the pinto. well, that 2.3 is badass, yeah i know. never said anything terrible about it. i have much respect for that thing.

i'd like to see the runout on your crank and the wear on your bearings and any moving parts.
the balance shafts are to help reduce harmonics produced by a large, normally internally balancing I4s. needing balance shafts usually is an indicator to engineers that a V6 should be on the agenda. i guess then it's a question of just how much vibration is created.
also, it's a little bit of a ridiculous thought to just go V8 even if it's a badass engine. sheeesh why not just go with a Lamborghini or Ferarri V12. the answer is: space and reality! further the cost would be exponential as the only trans that would work would be either out of an F1 car or something custom built.
midengines already experience a pendulum-like effect when the car gets out of control/balance. gee, i couldn't even imagine recovery effort to try to get the car back with that much weight with which to contend!

And building the Spec for All out Drag (Not what it was made for but makes it all the more fun......)
And as far as the V-8 I was just joking man, no flaming intended....It would be kinda cool to see if it could be done .....
I doubt it could be but dayum that thing would fly (in a strait line) if could be done.....
As far as reality goes.....The V6 for low end TQ is cool but dont forget that the Single turbo VR6 Jetta has low end TQ (Well a lot more than a N/A supra does.....) but a well balanced Single spoolin supra can walk away from it about 1/4 way down the track.......(Keep in mind I'm no toyota genius) but that regardless of who gets the better 60ft. time, the Supra is still the quicker (Better time) car......

Edit: I know were talkin MR2's but the jetta and the Supra was what i saw and it was the only example i could think of......

ok first of all that 500,000 celica cost that much cause of the suspension and awd and such, and also throttle response, it has nothing to do with 0-60 i guarantee i would smoke any z28 or ss from 30 and up. and as far as v vs inline, bmw uses an INLINE 6 in there m3, the do have 6 throttle bodies, but its still 343hp and enough torque to pull low 13's in the quarter in a car that weights well over 3k, more like 3.5k or higher.
ok anyway, go check the hybrid v6 organized section and give more info based on that thanks

hope you like custom fab =] because the camry tranny isnt exactly strong, and the shift forks are on the wrong side so you'd have to use an mr2 tranny caseing. or cut. either way, its not an overnight swap.

its not like its hard to drop b20 in teg or b16/18 in crx... h22 in crx sounds fun...
something easy isnt always fun to do....

haha, the 3sgte is actually one of the most "bullet proof" turbo motors ever made. theres actually people who've put down over 500whp on stock blocks!
