good welder?
Corbin,
Do NOT get a roll bar. Granted, I haven't been in the "S2000" field for too long, maybe a year or better and every Rollbar S2k owner I know...mentions that its a waste of money other than the "cool factor"
There are so many more areas you can spend that money more wisely in.
Such as:
-Js racing or T1r axleshaft spacers
-Diff fluid,trans fluid service
-Timing chain tensioner that is FAMOUS for going to hell before 100k miles
-A good exhaust, rather than the one you currently have (way loud)..no room to talk on my part but hey im not buying a roll bar lol
You get my point?
I don't care what you've heard about "Safer in crashes cause s2k factory roll hoops suck", all that is hear say because one person may have had a bad experience, then one persons friend said, then he said, then they said then it all the sudden becomes truth.
Believe it or not, the S2000 is a rather well built, solid safe vehicle. If it was something like knoop you were doing, then I'd be all for you getting an APPROVED Roll Bar. But, needless to say. Get something else, more useful.

every car is tested before put into production..
the car companies are not out to kill everyone that buys a convertable...
they are tested to make sure they dont become perfectly flat in a rollover...
that is why it has the factory hoop...

The US rollover requirements are a joke. Now, I don't know anything about the S2000, but if they're built to the federal requirements and nothing more, I'd practice ducking.
