It was bought rebuilt from j-spec. Had compression tests and everything else done to it and rated as good as factory specs

So let me get this straight.

-car was swapped at 118xxx miles
-car now has 170xxx miles
-motor has 50xxx miles currently

You're claiming to have gotten a motor from jspec that had less than 4000 miles on it, your an idiot if you actually believe that. Please blow it up with a turbo, I wanna join in on the piss party with everyone else.

Motor was bought from jspec THEN rebuilt, honed, new gaskets, but was rebuilt to stock specs, no upgraded studs or anything

Please for the sake of yourself don't waste the money on a rattle can paint yob. Just save money, get bitches. I wouldn't recommend turboing it, definitly being as you state it was rebuild to stock specs. If you really want to boost it just buy a block, build it to hold boost, then swap it out and save the motor in the car for a spare motor. Noone that matters really is going to car if you have a faded paint job, most gear heads have grown up and went on to bigger and/or better cars. But you got to begin somewhere. I'm sure a good majority of people on here started/had/worked on a hondar product when they where your age. I know I did, I had a civic blew the motor in it being young, dumb, and full of cum, it was rattle canned and at the time I though it was awesome, now I know how much of a dumbass I was. So just drive it, leave it like it is till you can at least get a paint job.
