ive wanted a damn 2 1/6" pod shift light/ mini-tach for YEARS. nobody ever made one. i dont want a damn "monster tach" thats gotti..

what do you want to know? there's a few things I would look into if I was designing it myself. for one the cluster thing I've already beat to death. I've always wanted a two stage light as well. For instance a few yellow LEDs around the perimeter of the guage that would come on at 7500 rpms (in my case) and another cluster of lights that would be maybe red and much brighter that came on and flashed at 8500 rpms. Just some thoughts. I think the idea is good enough to design a few things into it and charge a premium for it. I'd be willing to pay the differance.

 

ahhh . . . out of everyone else who has tried to describe that , you just made it make sence ... i will hit you back with an idea ... the only thing there is ... how do u activate it ? 2 pills ? i have to put some thought into that ... i will get back at you

 

I don't know how the pills work but it would be pretty easy to make it light up or do different things at different RPMS.

For example have it light up at a certain RPM then blink 500RPM higher. Or have the perimeter be one color of LEDs and a cluster of different color and brigher LEDs in the center or vice versa.

Don't even need to have seperate sections, multi-color LEDs aren't very expensive. I use them all the time at work.

i always wanted my stock crx tach to light up behind the gauge for a shift light.

 

how about instead of leds spaced you have them right next to each other all the way around? might be more expensive but might give the desired effect of a shift light. just a suggestion. but i'd buy one if the price wasnt outrageous
