Yeah you have no idea what money goes into 2jz motors, transmissions, and rear ends.

Really your best option is a 1jz because it came factory in the mk3 supras. It's much cheaper and almost as reliable if not more reliable than the 2jz. Just my .02

Second I've driven a 625hp camaro and a 500+awhp Evo neither of which are a walk in the park. I also know exactly what it takes to build a car that can handle that kind of power I've been a part of several 500+ builds. You can make all the power you want with an engine but if you don't put the money into the rest it's all for nothing. The rear end you're going to need to handle that kinda power is going to cost more than your supra is worth.

Lastly, why would you put that much money into a near 30 year old car? It won't be street able if it gets to 800hp do yourself a favor and look at Ryan Woons supra build... It's a 6 speed car that makes 1200hp. It's "technically" a street car but if you try to take off at less than 3500 rpms it stalls.

Basically what I'm really trying to say here is, you're not fooling anyone it will be an unfinished project forever and you're not getting into the classifieds with this facade.
I mean, the stock rear end and tranny of an 89 Nissan Z can and does handle that sort of power.

You are going to have to feather that throttle like a motherfucker just to keep your tires from breaking loose. And while we are on that topic, what kind of tires do you have planned?
Tire death is a given, yeah.

well I honestly couldn't care less about the shitty classifieds that never really change anyway. but thanks to those who did actually give me feed back and not just try to shoot down my build. to the rest of you mindless web trolling douchebags that have nothing better to do than just be assholes when im trying to get information to help. and tires? really? that's one of the last things on my mind. by the time this is done there will be better tires than the ones I would be looking at right now, that was a pointless thought.

fuck your classifieds and ill take my questions to another fourm since im sure ill be banned or something for this, ill be sure to rejoin in the future and post some picture when its done for you nay saying faggots. thanks for your time.

I think you are more concerned about if you can, instead of if you should.

Well excuse me for trying to be helpful. But yes, you make a good point about technology surpassing our current tires. I'd venture to guess by the time this build is finished, we will have flying cars and tires won't even be in the equation any more. Better start working on that cooling system for your flux capacitor. Faggle.

Yardjass, no you're fine, that's not entirely what i meant. i work on cars for a living but finding/diagnosing broken shit and fixing it is completely different from building a car for performance. i never claimed to know much about building cars but im trying to learn more about it so useful information is a big help.

i just find it sad that people here claim to be automotive enthusiasts but cant even comprehend why i was to build such an "old" car. if you cant grasp that then you shouldn't even be posting on a site that i thought was for people who love all cars and respect all kinds of builds. sorry i don't just want to run a stock 1or2j and "stance" my car just to make it look good and run decently. why do i care about the classifieds? because i like to look at what other people are building out there and i appreciate other peoples hard work and effort they put into their builds. its a cool thing to see.

so excuse the fuck out of me for actually trying to build something myself and have a car that i can i call my own that mommy and daddy had nothing to do with. and if this still doesn't explain well ebnough for some of you why i am doing this then kill yourself because you obviously shouldn't be posting about shit when you probably don't even have any useful information to give so you just troll to make yourself feel better about your own shitty build you did in a year that will probably blow up soon anyway.

i know its going to take time because i want it to be done right in all aspects, not just building a motor and getting it to run, there's a lot more that's going into this build. i have seen lots of build that people that 8+ years on and the final result is astounding because they took the time and sometimes had to wait for the money, but in all is a great build that's pretty much flawless.

better explanation for the few of you who don't get it? or are you still just stuck on stupid?
