when you buy anything with mason money, you don't get taxed. So when I eat lunch, instead of paying the 4.5% state tax, i just get charged for the food instead. It saves money in the long run, and it's more convienent to buy stuff too. Instead of taking out cash, getting change, you can just swipe your card and it's paid for.

george, just look at the receipt when you buy stuff. WHen I used to buy pad thai last year (good shit, why did they have to take it out) they charged 4.80. When you pay cash, they charge like 5.03 or so. Whenever you pay with mason money, look at the receipt, they don't take money off of tax. Only when you pay cash do they charge tax.
