I might agree with that somewhat if back in 1991 NSXs retailed for $80,000 however they did not. They retailed for $30-$35k. Inflation has driven their prices up. Not the fact that they are handbuilt or the fact that consumers are paying for research. Honda did not invent VTEC nor did they invent the DOHC design. They used existing technology when they made the NSX. NSXs are simply overpriced however I doubt most will believe that being that this board is primarily Honda enthusiasts.

Saying an NSX is worth that $89000 price tag is like saying that Enron is a paragon of business ethics. For that kind of money I could have a Corvette with a Lingenfelter engine swap, and STILL have better handling.

tru tru that jigga my friend raced his type r with about 5 k in engine and suspenion mods - N/A he only ran 2.1 seconds slwoer in laptime at vir!

and screw te zr1 get the 1 of 2 zl1 corvettes :drool: but nsx engien dont impress my 280 out of 3.2 l nsx when 240 out of 2 liter s2k engine..

still 3200 pounds to also only reason it is fast because it gear ratio between first and 2nd is hudge jump.

I believe the 3.2 NSXs were autos, the 3.0 was manuel and hosted the faster times.

Ok guy, I'm sure I'm wrong... but its proven by the sheer endurance (or long lasting quality, I won't play word games) of hondas/acuras that they are built better, last longer, and have fewer problems... that's the point... buy a corvette all you want, you're not buying quality, you're buying a "legend"...however, I am not going to have the import vs. domestic battle... I think we all know the story there...
