I guess it's all in what you're into, but I prefer not to spend thousands of dollars just to run what most cars run stock.
For 5400 (12 months) i made a 240sx with a respectable 345whp, weighin it at 2700lbs, i believe that is pretty damn good,
now if i had that 02 SS, i prolly would have THE same horsepower but with no mods, cuz i would be havin to make a Car Payment, and Insurance Payment, and then the Gas Money, then the Maintenance cost's a month...
My monthly expense for my 240 was somewhere 125$-150$ (depending on how i drove) verse somewhere in the 1000$ for a 02 SS, (450 insurance and prolly 350$ car payment, then rest to gas / maintenance)
so dont try to knock on people that are smarter than yourself when it comes to saving money and knowin how to spend it.

Then again my insurance is no where near $450 a month. That's fucking insane.

Im sorry but ive never heard of chevy being reliable...
isnt it true that their diffs tend to blow up?
never heard of such a thing with a 240...
Comfortable? doubt it, my 240 is pretty damn comfortable, Kirkey Intermediate seat w/cover is pretty damn comfortable to me.
every domestic i have sat in was too short on head room, seats dont adjust right for me.
********
yeah iono about the insurance thinkin im gonna pay em 450 for a damn mullet machine, and that was when i had a perfect driving record with no tickets/wrecks
hell i threw em a bone and asked about a 03 M3, they said around 300$ which is more like it.
Wait a second. Reliable. Dude a rearend will only grenade usually when you throw some slicks/DR's on it and tend to do clutch dumps. It doesn't just go as your riding down the road. Other than that LS1's have no problems. That's not the car's fault that GM decided to put a 7.5" 10 bolt in a car that makes 300RWHP in bone stock form. The spider gears break in the rearend because it's too small to handle the power.
Please do not speak unless you know what you're talking about. I have owned one for over a year and have done extensive research on them for years. If you'd like to try it some more then you're more than welcome.

No, the diffs dont "blow up" unless you get careless and mod the vehicle and then try to dump a good clutch on sticky tires and hook. And that is a $2000 fix, or much cheaper if you can weld (8.8" Ford center section). And you've never "heard of chevy being reliable" because you're ignorant. Period. I've seen the "reliability" of both import and domestic cars, and they're both the damn same as long as regular maintenance is performed. Oh yeah, that maintenance is more likely to cost more on an import.
LS1's last forever, its a 6 bolt main aluminum v8 making 300whp from the factory, and getting 30mpg on the highway. The t56 6 speed can easily hold 600+hp. The stock Diff is the only weak link, and only if you're a moron with it. And for $5400 dollars, you can have 500whp, and a nice rear diff so when you launch it with sticky tires, it wont break. Oh, and it'll still get 25+mpg on the highway and cruise 80@1600rpm.

I have seen more broke down 240's than broke down LS1's.

If you like your balls getting shoved into your chode everyday, then yeah, I can see where you're coming from.

Are you attempting to argue that imports have more interior space than domestics? Please, attempt to argue that.
