Ahhh, alright, I guess we can let it slide.

 

This guy did! Had a great ride...some lady pulls out dead in front of me while I'm doing 40 today. Had to lock up the brakes and my rear tire ended up drifting out from behind me. It felt awesome, but the situation sucked, and I hope I never have to slam on the brakes that hard again!

Oh yeah, I've only been riding for 5 months, so I'm still a squid for a long time to come. No mishaps yet...haven't had a drop, ticket, or any other things happen so I'm loving it so far

Days like this make me mad Im not riding till I fix my bike. But owell.

 

Hopefully you rode the rear tire slide out as it sounds like you did. I have had countless people pull out in front of me and even had a Semi on I95 make a lane change on us. Always be alert and expect something bad to happen and you will be better prepared.

 

Whew. Somebody needs some winter gloves.

 

Yeah I rode it out pretty well (it was those years of dirtbiking coming back). I can't think of the amount of times that I would have been fucked if I didn't have some riding under my belt before I got a motorcycle. Hell, in my MSF course, multiple people had 1400 Harleys that hadn't ridden ONCE (and admitted to this). There was one person my age (I'm 19) and he hadn't ridden either....when I asked him what bike he had he said a brand new ZX-10R. Not to jinx, but that dude is probably already dead.

 

Amen to that! Does anybody ever ride the Gloucester and surrounding areas? I live in Middlesex and am looking for a few people to joyride with every now and again. I get about 3-4 hours a day of seat time in my commute to VCU, so it would be nice to go on a relaxing ride instead of the hectic one I take every day. I ride a very well kept black and red 2001 CBR600F4i and wear all red/black/grey Alpinestars gear, so if you see me, give me a wave...

 

There any good roads out that way?
