The guy with the hull damage to the 1300R called me and left a message tonight. If this other guy doesnt come through, I may just offer $3000 for the 1300 and see what he says. He was asking $4K I think, and he knows I have kept looking after I spoke with him. So we shall see.

 

So I wrote the guy back with the 1300R saying:


I just got your message and figured it was too late to call you back. The fact that the ski has been damaged does kind of steer me away from buying it, I will admit that. I think my biggest fear is getting it and redamaging it. I don't know if we could come to a reasonable agreement on a price as what I may think it's worth may not be worth it to you. I'd love to have the ski, dont get me wrong, I just want to make sure it's the right one for me. A GP1200R just popped up on norfolk craigslist that I inquired about, but it's possibly already sold according to the seller. If that falls through, Ill come take a look at yours if we can come to a price agreement.

I figure, if this other one falls through and I can get the 1300 for $3200ish, then go up there do a compression test, check out the repair work, maybe see if I can get a hold of the guy who did the repair work and go from there.
