Honda Ruckus / Scooter Thread
So I rode both of the mopeds around today and Ive decided that I love the tank on the batavus and it rides more comfy than the pinto, but it needs to be faster and guaranteed reliable. Like now. While it runs good for the most part it has it's little spasms and quirks that make me question it's commitment to sparkle motion. I'd absolutely love to clone the pinto engine and somehow make it work on the batavus. Do you guys think this could be done with relative ease? Or should I accept my fate of having only one fast moped?
Rucking Fuckus is making a lot of racket as of late.
I'm pretty sure the clutch and/or belt is going. I get a lot of squeal over 30 and it just gets worse with heat or more speed.
Got a "buzz"-rattle coming from what seems like the front of the engine (needs valve adjustment/new shims) but it wont do it on the stand, any temperature, only while riding, which means its a pain in the ass to pin-point because I have to have my helmet on.
Pretty sure I "flexed" the right mount on the stretch right at the engine bolt. There's a little whit-ish "hot spot".
Good news:- Started the wet sanding/polishing of the bat box. Feels good man.
-There's about another belt width left on my vari that is unscathed.
-I get paid tomorrow so I'll be ordering another tire for the rear to get my speed back up.
