I didn't have to with progressive. Although I really was part of a hit and run, but I just called them and they sent me a check to paint my front bumper. (on my integra)

Decided to switch fluids up a little bit. I'm considering changing engine oil soon since vtec isn't as aggressive since I put the Mobile One 10w30 full syn advanced in. Also, I'm thinking the owner before me has been using MTF in the transmission since there are receipts from there. I plan on changing that up as well since I'm noticing a notchiness in 1st and 2nd.

New front runners are:

Engine Oil- Amsoil 10w30 syn
Diff Fluid- LE1605 90w
Trans Fluid- Redline MTL
Oil Filter- Staying with the PCX-004

Now I'm not sure if I want them, but I dont want to spend the extra $150 for Starspecs :/
treadwear ratings are kind of a crapshoot, the standards are determined solely by the manufacterer. There are no industry guidelines.

Anyways, I just wouldn't put too much stock on minor changes. I think the SCCA was considering a change to the minimum treadwear requirement for street tire classes. If they do, just watch all the major manufacturers magically change the ratings just to match it.

Better fluid means less notchiness, unless your transmission can't be helped by changing fluids.

A lot of guys on the Honda-Tech board are using a Torco RTF and MTF mixture and getting good results
